CAMHS Disability Autism Coffee Morning
Service details
It is an informal gathering of parents which is led by two CAMHS Clinicians.
There are two one hour sessions, the first hosted by Occupational Therapy (OT) and the second hosted by CAMHS. Parents offer each other support and the coffee morning acts as a space for parents to get advice about further services available in Hackney. The Autism coffee morning is part of the routine post diagnostic package offered to families who receive a diagnosis of Autism at Hackney Ark. A similar coffee morning is held at Specialist CAMHS for high functioning Children and young people, which has a specific focus each month e.g. sleep.
Facilitated by: Matt Speiss (CAMHS Practitioner)
The coffee mornings run twice a month, currently on the last Tuesday and Friday of each month. Times of these sessions can vary. There are opportunities to join either an online session (held on Microsoft Teams) or face to face at Hackney Ark.
Booking information:
Parents can call to book a place on 0207 014 7071. Booking a place for each month you wish to join the coffee morning is required.
