HMDT Music - Music Treehouse
Service details
Music Treehouse is an exciting music project for SEN/D children, enabling us to broaden our inclusion to students who are often isolated and overlooked outside of the school environment. Music Treehouse offers children with a range of conditions and creative music-making opportunities with a team of experienced musicians and a music therapist. Through composing and playing music using instruments, storytelling, song, and play, children will develop their musical skills, social engagement, and interaction.
Music’s multi-dimensional tools are proven to be hugely motivational enabling SEN/D
children to develop skills faster than any other activity by engaging in several modes of learning including tactile, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. A range of group workshops or 1:1 sessions enable children to be placed according to their age and needs to ensure they can be properly supported to enjoy and benefit the programme as much as possible and develop their communication, social interaction, and confidence.
Classes take place on Saturdays during term time at Bridge Academy in Hackney.
