I have been a childminder for over 30 years. I am currently registered to have up to 6 children under 8 years and 3 under 5 years.

I drop off and pick children up from Daubeney Primary School. I provide breakfast, lunch and tea after school as well as snacks and beverages. I take the children on regular trips to the local parks, libraries and museums. We attend weekly drop-in sessions including an outdoor dance class, forest school and the Hackney Play Bus.

My setting is based on the ground floor of a town house which is perfectly situated and opens directly onto a closed-in play park. This allows for outdoor play, with lots of opportunities for gross motor activities, such as climbing, scooting, cycling amongst other things.

I have my own sand and water play equipment which the children can access independently. The children take part in regular creative activities such as arts and crafts, cooking and musical fun. The children in my setting build strong positive relationships with each other and many go on to build lasting friendships. This also provides a very positive and friendly community for the parents and carers of the children.
