Who are we?
Shine is a registered charity set up in 1966 to help families and individuals affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
Shine is a national provider of specialist advice on and support for spina bifida and hydrocephalus across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
What do we do?
Shine can provide specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.
You can call for advice and become a member. Membership is free and as a member of the Shine family, you will have:
- FREE access to national and regional support groups
- FREE help and advice from trained specialists
- Twice a year a FREE copy of Shine’s magazine ‘Together’
- Invitations to national and regional events
- A network of friends, peers, and more…
