Who we are:
Norwood Family Centre and Family Support Team provide universal and targeted services for the Orthodox and wider Jewish Community. The centres services support children with special educational needs, their families and people with learning disabilities and autism.
Norwood's three core areas of work support:
HOME - Children and their families facing individual challenges
SCHOOL - Children and young people with special educational needs
LIFE - People with learning disabilities and autism throughout their lives.
Norwood - Family Centre provide personalised services designed to enable choice throughout the lives of those they work with.
What we do:
Services include:
- Portage Service (support for parents of children under 3 who are delayed in their development)
A family support team including social workers and counsellors offer support with:
- parenting
- therapies for children and young people
- group work
- advocacy
- financial support (very limited)
Norwood - Family Centre works with NHS Public Health to provide:
- Immunisations
- Health checks
- Classes for adults

You do not need a referral to access the family centre universal services.
Referrals are needed to access the Family Support Team and Portage service.
Please call the service to discuss referral further.
- What to do if you have a complaint
If you would like to give feedback on the service or have a concern you would like to discuss you can talk about it with the worker or the manager.
If this does not resolve the issue ask for a copy of the services complaints procedure.

- Drop - ins: Costs are varied, between £1.50 - £3
- Membership fees for the Toy Library of £6 per 6 months
