The Psychotherapy Department at Crozier Terrace offers specialist psychotherapy treatments for adults over 18. These include:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a talking therapy that helps manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.

Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)

  •  Cognitive Analytic Therapy looks at the way you think, feel and act; a programme which is tailored to your individual needs and to your own manageable goals for change.

Individual and group psychodynamic psychotherapy (PDP)

  • Individual and group psychodynamic psychotherapy treats mental and emotional problems through discovering unconscious patterns

Interpersonal therapy (IPT)

  • Interpersonal therapy - therapy for people with moderate to severe depression with a focus on conflict with people, life changes, grief/loss, difficulty with relationships.

Couple Therapy

  • Couple Therapy – resolving issues within the relationship

Family Therapy

  • Family Therapy - enables family members, couples and others who care about each other to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, to understand each other’s experiences and views, appreciate each other’s needs, build on strengths and make useful changes in their relationships and their lives

Therapeutic Community and Outreach 

  • Therapeutic Community and Outreach programme offers a range of of different stages and intensity that are designed to help service users develop stability of mood, coherent sense of self, secure attachments and reduce self-harming behaviours.
