Childminders in Hackney and the Childminding Network

Service details

Who are we?

Childminders are childcare professionals working in their own homes to provide care and education for other people's children in a family setting.

What do we do?

Childminders work in their own home and can offer home from home type care just as you would for your child.

They can visit local play parks, toddler groups etc.

How do I know if a childminder is safe to use?

Childminders have to be registered and inspected by Ofsted. If you use this website to fina a childminder a link to the latest Ofsted report will be included with their information.

What is a childminding network?

Childminding networks provide support to registered childminders who have shown they can deliver high quality care.

Hackney Quality Assurance Childminder Network (HQACN) is a group of registered childminders who have shown they can provide high quality care for children.

They are assessed and monitored by Childminding Network Co-ordinators and have access to information and training sessions.

Network Co-ordinators provide support to parents in seeking a quality assured Network childminder to meet their needs.

Please contact the Network Co-ordinator in your area for support with finding a network childminder.
