What is Healthy Minds?
The National Autistic Society have developed a programme called Healthy Minds.
The EarlyBird Healthy Minds programme is a six-session parent support programme to help promote good mental health in autistic children (including Asperger syndrome).
The programme acts as a follow on from:
Healthy Minds has been developed in response to evidence which showed that a high numbers of those with autism are at risk of experiencing mental health problems as teenagers and young adults.
The programme aims to help parents understand the causes of this and reduce the impact of stress on children with autism.

Healthy Minds courses run annually in Hackney and the next one will be in 2017.
If you would like to express an interested in attending a Healthy Minds course in Hackney please contact the ASD Family Intervention Worker or the Inclusion and Specialist Support Team.
Parents and carers can self-refer and other professionals can sign-post to this service.
