Lea Rowing Club
Service details
Rowing is an intense sport that takes place in sleek, narrow boats on the water. Rowing demands high degrees of endurance, strength, teamwork, mental toughness, and an ability to continue on when your body is telling you that you can't. Rowers sit in a boat and use an oar to propel the boat.
At weekends the LEA site is a centre of athletic activity. Not just rowing but rugby and tennis on Springhill Sports-ground and in Springfield Park many sports including cycling.
The LEA Clubhouse has a newly renovated café. The Main Clubhouse is a boatshed downstairs and has the bar, hall/gym and changing upstairs. The gym may be used by members and has 15 Concept II rowing machines and a wide range of weight apparatus. Changing rooms, toilets and showers are available. Bar and Hall are usually available for hire.
