Who we are...
The Visual Impairment Service is part of the Inclusion and Specialist Support Team at Hackney Learning Trust. The team consists of three teachers for visual impairment, a Mobility Officer and a Specialist Portage Worker for Sensory Impairment.
What we do...
These drop-in sessions are for children aged 0-4 and their families.
They are held in the sensory room at Linden Children's Centre with access to specialist sensory toys and equipment for the children.

Parents and carers can come and get support and advice from the Visual Impairment Service - Inclusion and Specialist Support Team and meet and make friends with other families and children.

Who is eligible?
Universal access by Hackney families with children aged 0 – 5 years.
Families can self-refer to the Family Support Team at Linden Children’s Centre. Please find attach Family Support Enquiry Form
What to do if you have a complaint
If you have any feedback about the service you received – something you like or are not happy with; then do talk about it with the worker or manager in the service, so that they can look at how they deliver their service.
If you have a situation that you are still not happy about then you can raise it formally as part of the London Borough of Hackney complaints procedure; click here for more information.
