Our Early Years provision commences in the nursery and continues through reception. Indoor and outdoor learning through play are vital elements in a child’s development and the curriculum reflects this. The school’s youngest pupils are introduced to Jewish values based around home and family and children begin to learn Hebrew from the outset. Although children will obviously develop a range of new skills and abilities during their time at nursery, at Simon Marks nursery we place great emphasis on the importance of developing their social skills.
The nursery has recently undergone a comprehensive renovation and renewal of its outside space. This has had a marked impact on teaching and learning and has helped to develop the children’s independent and collaborative learning.
