Who we are:
Hackney has a Social Worker within it's Integrated Learning Disabilities Service for adults with autism.
Hackney's Autism Social Worker works only with adults with autism who do not also have a learning disability but who may have social care needs.
Autism advice sessions are a new weekly 1:1 information and advice service for anyone over the age of 16 who works or lives in Hackney, who either have a diagnosis of autism, work with or care for someone who does.
Sessions are held in the Hackney Service Centre (behind Hackney Town Hall), 1 Hillman Street, Hackney, London, E8 1DY
There will be three 1:1 advice sessions per day taking place in the morning.
These will run on Wednesdays or Fridays with the new sessions starting on Friday 12 April 2019
What we do:
The service is aimed at people with autism without a learning disability and aims to provide:
• Information about accessing social care
• Signposting to relevant services
• Benefit advice
• Advice about transitioning into adulthood
• Information and support for family members or carers
• Advice and guidance for professional practise
How do I book onto a session?
