School Links Programme

We want to help prospective students make a successful start at New City College Hackney. We have an established school links programme with Stormont House school and can set up a link course with your school, tailored to your setting and students’ needs.

A schools link programme will be helpful if you or your students are:

  • Intending to come to New City College Hackney when they finish secondary education
  • Are aged 16-24, and
  • Have an EHC Plan (Education Health and Care Plan)

Our schools link programme enables students with learning disabilities to confidently make the transition from school to Further Education (FE) college or adult services. The course prepares students for adulthood by focusing on developing independence and skills needed for the world of work. It also offers opportunities for developing community and social skills.

School links will either infill into other courses or have a standalone group, depending on the class sizes. If infill, students will be able to work alongside:

  • Discovery
  • Towards Independence
  • Vocational Explorer
  • Mainstream Multi-skills /catering

If you would like to find out more about this link programme please email info@ncclondon.ac.uk and put "Hackney Schools Link Programme".
