About Hackney BMX

Hackney BMX are funded, organised and maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers with support from Hackney Council, Access Sport and Haggerston Park Users Group.

About the track:

Hackney BMX track also known as Haggerston BMX bike park is situated in Haggerston Park in Hackney.

It is an urban bike park with an active community.

  • the track is built in a "W" design
  • has jumps,
  • step-ups and big berms.

The track is open all year (not to be ridden at night) and is free to use.

The first section is the smoothest for manualing and jumping and is often ridden as its own mini loop. This section benefits from a slight downhill gradient.

The second section requires more concentration and technique as the gradient is lost slightly so you need to pump to maintain speed and momentum.
