Inspire! Education Business Partnership (EBP)

Service details

Who we are:

Inspire! is an independent charity that can work directly with schools and colleges to provide a range of work-related services and experiences, providing young people in Hackney – from ages 13-19 with the skills and knowledge they will need to access and succeed in the world of work.

By linking local and City businesses and their employees with schools, they provide work-related learning, enterprise education and curriculum enrichment programmes across Hackney. They also source and coordinate around 4,000 work experience placements every year.

Working with vulnerable young people, Inspire! also delivers a wide range of programmes to provide tailored support and ensure all young people reach their full potential. This offer includes the Inspired Directions School which offers alternative provision for high needs learners who struggle to access mainstream education.

Central to all of Inspire!’s work are their aims to motivate and raise levels of achievement among young people, to help them realise their aspirations and to give them access to a world of choices and opportunities that may otherwise have remained out of reach.

What we do:

Inspire! provides tailored work experience, real enterprise projects and mentoring for learners with special educational needs and moderate learning difficulties.

Working in partnership with schools such as Stormont House School, we have developed programmes that meet the needs of learners with a range of additional cognitive, emotional and learning needs, including:

  • speech & language difficulties
  • social and emotional difficulties

Inspire! also offers some programmes directly to young people but, this takes place on a programme-by-programme basis
