Description

Who we are:

Some people are automatically entitled to a Blue Badge or a Freedom Pass because they have difficulty with their mobility. Hackney Mobility Service can help with information about assessments, applications, passes and permits.

What we do:

Hackney Mobility Service provides:

  • Freedom Passes (free London travel pass)
  • Blue Badges (permits for free parking) and parking bays

...for people with disabilities who meet the eligibility criteria.

Some people are automatically entitled to a Blue Badge or Freedom Pass.

If you are not automatically eligible then you may be asked to have an Occupational Therapist (OT) mobility assessment.

The Ocupational Therapist will talk to you to find out what your mobility needs are.

They may ask about what medication or other treatments you are having, and how you are getting around at the moment.

Children and young people with SEND (special educational needs and or disabilities) are welcome to have a parent or another person present during the assessment.
