Who are we? 

Graeae is a disabled-led professional touring theatre company.
We create world-class theatre that reaches national and international participants and audiences by:

• developing and promoting Deaf and disabled talent
• breaking down barriers and
• challenging preconceptions

What do we do?

Graeae produces theatre productions both nationally and internationally. We work in schools and with different community groups. We offer training, workshops and creative residencies.

Graeae run annual writing, performing and theatre making programmes for artists at all stages of their career.

We also offer workshops and theatre opportunities for Deaf and disabled children and young people. Our participation work includes:

Ensemble programme: this level 4 course for Deaf and disabled artists aged 17 – 30 is accredited by Rose Bruford College. This course is suitable for those serious about a career in the arts and with a passion for theatre making. Those wishing to apply do not need prior qualifications. The course is run in partnership with LAMDA, CSSD and RADA.

Young Company: Workshops and productions made using artists advisors right to make choices about their experience and led by their talents and interests.

Schools and CPD (Continuing Professional Development): school residencies, production workshops and teacher CPD. Delivered by Deaf and disabled artists and practitioners. These can be tailored to your school’s needs, curriculum and young people.
