Who are we?
Hackney Playbus run free stay & play sessions for families with children aged 0-4, using a double-decker bus that has been turned into an early years play space, as well as an indoor baby group for families with babies under 12 months.
What do we do?
Playbus sessions provide fantastic opportunities for babies and young children to play in a rich learning environment, and a valuable opportunity for parents and carers to build parenting confidence and connect with others in their community. Their team of early years community workers build supportive relationships with parents, carers and children, and help link families to other support services.
Outreach and referrals programme
Hackney Playbus focuses on engaging marginalised families, who may struggle to access mainstream services, and those with care and support needs.

- Who is eligible?
The Playbus welcomes self-referrals from parents and carers of children under 5 years of age as well as referrals on their behlf from other groups and services supporting families in Hackney.
- Referral Details
If you are a parent or carer who would like to come to a Playbus session with your children, please contact Anja. Phone 07961 139 204 or email anja@hackneyplaybus.org
If you are supporting a family who could benefit from coming to Playbus sessions, please complete an online referral form.
When they get a referral, the Playbus team will contact the parent or carer within a few days to talk through what they offer, answer any questions and find out if they need any support to attend a session.
