Who we are...

The Change Foundation is a charity who run programmes for young people with a range of needs and challenges including young people with disability.

The Change Foundation is a charity with a reange of experience working with:  

  • Young women with a disability
  • Young people with autism
  • Young people from disadvantaged communities
  • Young women who are looked after / in the care system
  • Young refugees
  • Young people at risk of involvement with crime or gangs
  • Young male ex-offenders aged 18 – 25

What we do... 

London Futures is a 12 month employability programme run by The Change Foundation for young people with learning disabilities and/or mental health problems who are; facing social isolation and loneliness.

Using sport and specialised mentoring, young people will take part in weekly sports activities to reduce anxiety, stress and associated conditions.

Weekly mentoring from coach mentors with lived experience will advise and guide each young person through the programme.

For those taking part the programme’s mix of sports and mentoring aims to:

  • increase skills for life
  • increase employability skills
  • reduce social isolation 

Those taking part will complete 10 employability challenges and compete as a team against other London hubs.

The new programme starts 17th January 2020 and runs until 11th December 2020
