Description

Who we are

Young Hackney School and Youth Sports Unit joined forces with Short Breaks Hit Squad  to start a Youth Club for young people with high functioning autism/ASD who struggle to attend mainstream youth clubs.

The club is run from Shoreditch Adventure Playground and is also suitable for 8-14 years with mild language delay.

What we do 

  • Provide a safe space for young people to come and play.
  • A place to meet regularly, chat and develop friendships with other young people.
  • A place to develop social skills.

Every week there is a choice of activities including:

  • Access to a large adventure playground
  • Opportunity to join individual or group sporting activities such as basketball or, football
  • Opportunities to make friends and hang out with other young people
  • Every session will finish with relaxation activities
