Who we are…
Camp Simcha exists to provide practical and emotional support for Jewish families where children are suffering from serious illness including premature babies.
Support is provided throughout the whole of the UK to families who have children and young people aged 0-18.
Just one parent needs to be Jewish in order to be eligable for support from us.
What we do…
We offer powerful positive experiences for sick children and young people and their siblings. We also offer practical and emotional support for the family. Both these approaches are designed to improve the quality of life for all family members.
Our range of services are bespoke and delivered through a Family Liaison Officer who is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to discuss whatever the ill child, their siblings or even the parents need to get them through the difficult times.

- Who is eligible?
Children and young people aged 0- 18 years old and living in the UK with at least one Jewish parent. Support is offered for to those with health conditions including:
1. All cancers/leukaemias
2. Life-threatening illnesses (including uncontrolled epilepsy, genetic disorders and serious surgery). We cover these on a temporary basis where necessary.
3. Life-changing medical conditions where parents are struggling to cope on a daily basis (such as recently diagnosed Type-1 diabetes and serious Crohn’s). We re-assess this category after the first year.
4. Premature babies born at 32 weeks or less until their first GP visit. Premature babies with medical complications.
We do not support those with special needs such as autism or downs syndrome unless these conditions are additional to the above criterias.
