Who we are:
A&E WellFamily is a service run by the charity Family Action.
The A&E WellFamily Service is a supportive counselling and practical support service for individuals, couples and families facing challenges, who have attended A&E at least once in the past 3 months.
What we do:
The A&E WellFamily Service - Family Action offers 6-8 sessions of counselling where we provide the opportunity for clients to discuss the challenges they are facing, explore ways to overcome them and set some goals to work towards this.
We can provide support to clients facing the following:
- Financial worries
- Housing difficulties
- Low to moderate mental health problems
- Bereavement/loss
- Domestic violence
- Work place or school stressors
- Psychosocial difficulties
- Social isolation/loneliness
Through those 6-8 sessions clients are provided with counselling around agreed goals and are supported to reach them.

Who is eligible?
This is a service for individuals, couples and families facing challenges, who have attended the Accident and Emergency department of a hospital at least once in the past 3 months
We support clients aged 16 plus and run sessions in GP surgeries and the Wally Foster community centre in Homerton Hospital.
Can parents & young people buy this service as part of their SEND personal budget?
