Homerton Hospital Safeguarding and Child Protection Team (Acute and Community)
Service details
The Homerton Hospital Safeguarding and Child Protection Team (Acute and Community) lead the local NHS - health service contribution to safeguarding and child protection.
They act as a first point of contact providing health professionals with advice, guidance and training for those working with:
- Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Vulnerable Adolescents
- Safeguarding children and young people in the context of their access to technology and use of social media
- Strengthening oversight and safeguarding interventions across the diverse communities of the City of London & Hackney
- Safer Workforce
Community Service
Health professionals working in community settings with children and their families e.g. Health Visitors, Community Nurses and Community staff may contact the service for advice and guidance on safeguarding and child protection matters.
Acute Service
The Acute Service provides safeguarding and child protection advice and training to frontline staff working in hospital services to support their work to keep children safe and free from harm.
