Who we are:
The Refugee Workers Cultural Association is an educational and social charity organisation that exists to help relive poverty, sickness and distress of members of the community and improve the conditions of life particularly for those of Kurdish or Turkish decent who live in Hackney.
We work with:
- people with disabilities
- children/young people
- elderly/old people
- people of a particular ethnic or racial origin
- the general public
What we do:
Provides the following services advocacy, advice, information:
- Information Advice and Guidance - assistance, representation services in matters of asylum Immigration, money debts and welfare benefits, housing, training and employment
- facilities to promote the health of those we support provisions of translators and interpreters at clinics and surgeries and Health Awareness sessions
- Parenting support and counselling
- Facilities for education, cultural and vocational training ,Conferences Cultural Activities, Out-going Trips and Community Events
- Education - school support classes covering GCSE maths, physics, Turkish and stats classes.
- Sports activities
- Youth Activities

What to do if you have a complaint
If there’s something you like or are not happy with, then talk about it with the worker or the manager so they can look at how they deliver their service. If you are still not happy, ask if they have a complaints procedure.
