Who we are:
Hackney has a Social Worker within it's Integrated Learning Disabilities Service for adults with autism.
The Autism Social Worker works only with adults with autism who do not also have a learning disability but who may have social care needs.
What we do:
- Provide guidance, advice and signposting to appropriate services that may help with your well-being.
- Social care needs assessments where appropriate, including support for the whole family if required.
- Support with transitions for young people as they near the age of 18 and transfer into adult social care or other adult services
- Support with the development of Hackney’s offer of services and support to autistic adults

Young people aged 16 and older.
Adults with a formal diagnosis of autism, without a learning disability.
What to do if you have a complaint
If you have any feedback about the service you received – something you like or are not happy with; then do talk about it with the worker or manager in the service, so that they can look at how they deliver their service.
