Centre for Better Health - Better Health Training
Service details
Who are we?
The Centre for Better Health is a community-based charity that supports well-being and recovery from mental ill-health.
What do we do?
Our social enterprise (comprising Better Health Bikes and Better Health Products) offers 12-week, work-skills training placements to help build employment skills and provide routes into work.
Our placements are for adults who are out of work, or in jobs that they do not enjoy and are struggling with their mental health.
Alongside the role itself, which will cover all the basics of baking or bike maintenance, you will set personal and professional goals, for example, to develop workplace skills, learn something new, or increase your confidence.
Over the course of the placement, you will have one-to-one sessions to help you get the most out of your training. In these sessions, we will reflect on your experiences and progress against your goals, discuss any areas that you feel you need additional support with, and signpost you to other services as needed.
What do people say about our Better Health training placements?
