Maintained a Nursery run by a Children's Centre. Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM -3:30 PM. For 0-5 Years old. Wheelchair-accessible building/toilet.
We focus on every individual child. Ou curriculum is based on a rich higly motivated and challenging learning experiences that bring both fun and challenges to children's learning. Our school is committed to our community and value our partnership with both parents and wider professionals.

Who we are:
Wentworth nursery school offers Ofsted outstanding, child-centred provision to 3 and 4-year-olds living in Hackney.
They hold regular open mornings where parents/carers who are interested in applying for a place for their child are invited into the nursery to see what is on offer and ask any questions.
What we do:
Wentworth nursery offers:

- Exceptional teaching and knowledge about how young children learn.
- A broad, exciting curriculum that nurtures children’s natural curiosity, creativity and individual interests
Activities regularly available include:
- First-rate provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- A range of activities; cooking, drumming, singing and using real tools that build children’s confidence
- A newly developed garden with sandpit, pond and fire pit for outdoor cooking
- Information workshops for parents/carers
Children with additional needs
All nurseries and playgroups must have relevant processes in place to support all children in their settings including:
- SEND Policies (you can find these on their website or request a copy)
- a qualified or experienced member of staff identified as the setting SENCo (special educational needs coordinator) who oversees day to day support of children with SEND, works closely with parents and where necessary external professionals
- links with Area SENCo’s who work with Ofsted registered settings when children with SEND transfer into the setting or out of the setting and into school.
- links with Health Visitors involved in universal progress checks or developmental reviews e.g. 27th Month Integrated Reviews
- ongoing staff training to help recognise and support children with a range of SEND.
- links with Children’s Centres and the process for referring families for Early Support or MAT – Multi Agency Team (MAT) support.
- processes in place for working with external professionals and specialist teams where needed (referrals often needed)
- understand the process for requesting an Education, Health and Care Assessment which could identify additional support to be provided through a statutory EHC plan.
