Hestia Hackney Domestic Abuse Service
Service details
Hestia supports over 600 women and children across London each year who are surviving domestic abuse.
They provide:
- emergency refuge provision for women and their children
- outreach and floating support services
- children and family projects to support mothers and their children
- *Support for women with no recourse to public funds
*Please note this funding is subject to availability
They also provide care homes for people who need 24-hour support, shared houses for those who are able to live more independently and further shared accommodation for those who have become homeless as a result of their mental health. They provide floating support services to help people continue living in their own homes as well as day centre resource service.

Women and children experiencing domestic violence including:
- abuse by partner
- abuse by same sex partners
- abuse by other family members
- female genital mutilation
- forced marriage
- honour based violence
Accepts women from all areas.
Minimum age of woman 18
Maximum age of woman 65
Maximum age of male child 14
Maximum age of female child 17
Accept women with no recourse to public funds Notes: subject to funding.

- Referral Details
The service will undertake the referral process over the telephone. They require information about domestic abuse, last incident, personal details, children, perpetrator information and disclosure of any mental health, substance misuse issues and criminal record Initial referral/assessment form completed. They will also require details of income, children, housing history, medical issues and any mental health or drug/alcohol support needs. Proof of ID is required.
