Who we are:
nasen (The National Association for Special Educational Needs) is a charity that supports professionals who work with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
What we do:
nasen offers advice, training (both face to face and online), resources, access to research as part of our membership.
There are different levels of membership, one of which is free.
Each membership level has different levels of benefits and access to resources.
Early Years Resources
Through funding from the Department for Education, nasen has produced some FREE training resources specifically aimed at the Early Years sector, to help practitioners in:
- the identification of children with SEND
and with
- supporting children with SEND
The resources can all be accessed online at no cost.
Register with nasen, login and then begin to use them.
The resources are available in a range of format to suit everyone:
- webcasts
- mini-guides
- online CPD,
- and face-to-face training materials
On the Early Years SEND homepage of the nasen website, you can watch a short video which explains how to use the resources, along with information for Early Years leaders or setting's SENCos.
