Who are we?

Young Hackney is Hackney Council's youth service and partner for external providers offering high quality inclusive play, activities and programmes for children and young people aged 6-19 and up to 25 for young people with SEND.

What do we do?

Young Hackney runs services and works with partners to provide a range of high quality inclusive universal and targeted play and youth work activities and programmes for children and young people aged 6-19 and aged up to 25 for young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).

They also provide year round 'youth work' programmes at Young Hackney centres and specific outreach youth programmes in different venues across Hackney.

Health and Wellbeing

Young Hackney has two dedicated services to support young people's health and wellbeing.

Young Hackney's Inspire Sessions

We deliver several Inspire sessions a week from appropriate venues across Hackney. These sessions are child and young person led, with a focus on developing social and communication skills, having fun and enjoying being physically active in the company of other young people.

The Young Hackney's Inspire Sessions are provided for two different age groups, one for a younger age group (juniors aged 8-14) and one for older young people (seniors aged 14-24).

The activity sessions run throughout the year, in term time and there are often Inspire session arranged during school holidays.
