Outward - Nutley Edge Activity Breaks – respite holidays

Service details

Nutley Edge is a beautiful rural holiday destination in East Sussex, a stone’s throw from the stunning Ashdown Forest and just an hour and a half from London.

We are owned and managed by Outward, a London-based charity that has been providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities or on the autistic spectrum for over 40 years.

We are really pleased to introduce our programme of Activity Breaks and to welcome guests to enjoy five days of fun, games, activities and relaxation, all in a safe environment.

Our Activity Breaks are aimed at adults with a learning disability or on the autistic spectrum, and the all-inclusive price covers high-quality accommodation, transportation, meals and refreshments, a choice of activities and staff support (provided by Outward).

We also believe that our holidays offer an excellent respite option for families.

Please get in touch for dates. Most Activity Breaks run from Monday to Friday. We look forward to welcoming you to Nutley Edge for our Activity Breaks!

Where will I be staying?

You will be staying in one of our beautiful cottages, which are grouped around a central courtyard and 17th century Old Farmhouse.

All cottages have two bedrooms, a large bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen and open-plan lounge with flat-screen TV.

We have two wheelchair-accessible cottages with level access and adjustable beds. Bedding and towels are provided, and there is WIFI available in all the cottages.

Support on an activity break...

Nutley Edge Activity Breaks are suitable for adults with a learning disability or on the autistic spectrum, and we provide an average of one member of support staff for every four guests. However, for guests who require a higher level of support, we are happy to discuss individual needs and arrange a package with increased support.

Our team of welcoming and experienced activity co-ordinators and staff all work for Outward, a registered charity that has been supporting adults with learning disabilities and on the autistic spectrum for over 40 years.

Our staff provide general day-to-day prompting, support and supervision, to ensure all our guests have a safe, engaging and enjoyable stay.

Guests are more than welcome to bring their own support staff. However, this will be at an extra cost, to cover meals, transportation and accommodation for the member of staff. Please do get in touch if you would like to bring your own support, and we will make sure that all your needs are met.
