Who we are: 

Outwards community outreach team can support you if you have a learning disability and live in Hackney.

We have a team of trained and experienced staff who provide a range of support to people at home, in the community, at our local base and through shared activities and events.

How will this service help me?

Our outreach service can help you with some of the difficulties of everyday life, enabling you to develop new skills and become more independent.

We organise lots of social events where you can make new friends, including a social club that is specifically aimed at young people with a learning disability.

Our friendly and dedicated staff will visit you at home to help you with:

  • managing money and paying bills
  • filling out forms
  • going to appointments
  • personal care, such as housekeeping
  • staying fit and healthy
  • meeting new people

  • you are known to social services for learning disabilities in Hackney

Venue Notes

Clients are not seen at the head office but this is the correct address and contact to find out more about referrals and this service. 

We do not provide transport as part of this service. Instead, our support staff will go to where you live to support you to do the things you want to do, in your local community.

We encourage and support customers to use public transport as much as possible, and will accompany you if needed.

Our office is open between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday but sessions take place where you are.

Session Information
Our Outreach support service runs all year round, including during Christmas and New Year.
We offer daytime and evening support sessions.
Ultimately, our aim is to support you to become as independent and self-sufficient as possible
to the point where you may not need our support anymore.

Generally, customers who benefit from our Outreach service should meet these criteria:

  • You have a learning disability and live in Hackney
  • You are looking for support in your current home
  • You are known to social services for learning disabilities in Hackney
  • You can get funding for your support or already have a personal budget

We have a formal complaints process. You can either ask us for a complaints form or can write your own letter, sending this by email to:
