Outward - Hub Club - Day Activities for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Conditions

Service details

We are based in the heart of Hackney and offer fun and engaging day opportunities and activities for adults with learning disabilities and on the autistic spectrum.

The Hub Club is run by Outward, a care and support charity that has been helping vulnerable people for more than forty years.

Join The Hub Club and you can get involved in a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the week.

Outward Hub Club x 3

Our ethos for the service is to have a purpose and learning element to each session.

For example:

  • art workshops will result in an exhibition being held and the artwork being showcased
  • our cooking sessions are run in collaboration with Bags of Taste and enable you to learn how to cook healthy, low-cost meals. You will also get to eat everything you cook at the end of the session!
  • there are regular trips and outings to exciting venues around Hackney, including museums, art galleries and nature reserves. You will always learn something new.

A typical week may include activities such as gardening, museum visits, boccia, nature visits, joy of sound, healthy cooking, art and cycling.

There is something for everyone.

Our members and their relatives help shape the service and decide on what sessions we hold. This makes The Hub Club your club.

You help decide which activities you want to do.

Session Information
We do split the Hub Club yearly timetable into ‘terms’. There is no break between terms
apart from at Christmas and New Year. The end of a term is just a useful point for us to assess how the Hub Club is progressing and what we can do to make it better. Hub Club runs all year round.
