Cardinal Pole is a voluntary aided Catholic secondary school for pupils aged 11-19 years. The school's specialism is Science.
Faith schools are run like other state schools but with a different stated mission. Faith schools are mostly run like other state schools. They have to follow the national curriculum except for religious studies. The schools individual admissions criteria and staffing policies may be different too, although anyone can apply for a place.

Admissions for pupils with Education Health and Care Plans
The timescale and process for starting secondary school for children with an EHC plan is different from the process for children without an EHC plan who follow the mainstream process.
A separate application form will be sent to parents/carers to list the schools you prefer for your child.

If you decide to transfer your child to another school at any other time of the school year, please discuss your decision with the schools headteacher and then contact Hackney Learning Trust. Details below, to find out the process for an in-year transfer.

As part of the 2014 SEND reforms, the government asked schools to provide information about support for children with additional needs within each school.
