Who we are:

PEPTalk is a series of group therapy sessions that aim to empower parents to use strategies that develop their child’s communication, language and learning everyday. It is suitable for children whose families are concerned about their child’s communication and learning development, for children waiting for assessments and for those with a diagnosis of Autism and other Special Educational Needs.

Expertise

PEP Talk is led by a Highly Specialised Speech and Language Therapist (SLT). Laura (SLT) is also a Qualified Teacher, Sensory Integration Therapist and Feeding Therapist with knowledge and expertise in Makaton Signing, PECS, Attention Autism, Toilet Training and Behaviour Management. Other professionals offering group sessions include an Occupational Therapist & a dually qualified Dance and Speech and Language Therapist.

What we do:

The Programme

An initial consultation in which we can discuss your child's needs and work together to set targets.

5 x 45 minute small group sessions with each session focusing on a different theme essential for developing communication and learning skills. There will be a maximum of 6 children in the group. Children will learn in a specialised sensory environment.

A learning profile for your child which you can share with other professionals to provide them with information on how to support your child to learn and develop.

Parents will participate in sessions alongside their children. Each session will be led by a therapist with the support of a member of Arsenal in the Community and a Therapy Assstant.

PEP Talk will empower you to use strategies to develop your child's skills everyday to support them to reach their maximum potential.
