Hackney Mobility Service
Service details
Who are we?
Hackney Mobility Service can help with information about assessments, applications, passes and permits for people with disabilities who meet the eligibility criteria for:
- Freedom Passes (free London travel pass)
- Blue Badges (permits for free parking) and parking bays
Some people are automatically entitled to a Blue Badge or a Freedom Pass because they have difficulty with their mobility.
How can we help?
This service can help with providing information and processing applications from eligible people.
Some people are automatically entitled to a Blue Badge or Freedom Pass.
If you are not automatically eligible then you may be asked to have an Occupational Therapist (OT) mobility assessment. The Occupational Therapist will talk to you to find out what your mobility needs are. They may ask about what medication or other treatments you are having, and how you are getting around at the moment.
Children and young people with SEND (special educational needs and or disabilities) are welcome to have a parent or another person present during the assessment.
Further information can be found on the Hackney Council and London Council's websites
