Notice: From Monday 16 March, access to Homerton Sexual Health is via telephone assessment only. This applies to both walk-ins and people with a pre-booked appointment.
People should not come to the sexual health clinics before they have been assessed over the telephone. They should ring first to arrange a telephone consultation, and a member of staff will return their call.

Who we are...
The Right Choice is a confidential sexual health service for people with learning disabilities.
You can come to the service to get advice and information about your sexual health from a health advisor.
People with learning difficulties of all ages can attend and are welcome to come by themselves or to bring someone with them for support.
What we do...
This service offers:
- information and advice about having safe sex
- testing and treatment for STIs (sexually transmitted infections)
- HIV testing, advice and counselling
- free condoms and full contraception services
- relationships advice and information
Notes
Patients can also attend the sexual health service during regular clinic hours at this service or other sexual health services, but Right Choice clinic appointments will give more time if needed.

- Who is eligible?
People of all ages with learning difficulties can attend and are welcome to come by themselves or to bring someone with them for support if they want to.
Parents, carers and professionals can also book appointments for advice and support.

Referral is not necessary. Patients, parents, carers and professionals can phone or e-mail for a Right Choice clinic appointment.
Patients can also come to the general sexual health clinic without an appointment in regular clinic hours.

- What to do if you have a complaint
Complaints will be listened to and addressed at the earliest opportunity preferably by the person initially hearing the complaint. If a concern cannot be resolved by this person it will be passed on to one of the management team.
Complaints can be made to a clinician or manager in the service or alternatively through the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).

Feedback cards are available in most clinic rooms for patients to give feedback positive or negative and anonymously if needed.
