Oldhill Community Primary School

Service details

Tyssen is a Community Primary School. This means it is regulated by the local council and not influenced by business or religious groups. The reception intake is for 60 children per academic year.

The breakfast and after-school clubs

The school runs a breakfast club from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and after-school clubs from 3:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. five days a week during term time. After-school clubs include active and sports options, creative and musical options, and life skill options. At these clubs, the children can have fun, make new friends, and develop skills interests, and talents.

Support for children with additional needs and disabilities

The government has asked schools to provide information about support for children with additional needs. SEN Information Reports (SEN - Special Educational Needs) are intended to tell you the practical day-to-day approach taken within each individual school. They should be written in a way that is helpful, clear, and meaningful for parents.

Autism Resourced Provsion

Oldhill Autism Resourced Provision (ARP) is one of the resourced provisions in Hackney.
The purpose of the resourced provision is to support autistic children in the long term to access most of their learning in a mainstream class.

Find a video of the ARP and the ARP handbook on the school's website here.
