Adults Personal Budgets where Hackney Adult Social Services manages the budget and services for you:

This is the arrangement where adult social care speaks with you to find out what you need and then arrange the services for you.

You do not HAVE to have a personal budget. It is your choice.

This might be a good choice for you if you already feel your life is complicated and do not like the idea of having the responsibility of arranging the services and managing the budget yourself at this time. You can still change your mind later.

You can also look into the option of an agency or brokerage service doing the parts of the process that you think would be stressful.

The way personal budgets are hopefully going to be used in the future is still being worked out. If you decide it’s not for you do not be afraid to think about it again in the future.
